Departure from Merzouga

Your quad bike adventure begins in Merzouga village. You will meet your guide at the designated meeting point or your accommodation. After a warm welcome, you will receive a safety briefing and training session. Your guide will explain how to operate the quad, adjust to your comfort, and go over safety rules.

Even if you have never driven a quad before, the training session will give you the confidence to enjoy the ride. Children can ride as passengers with an adult.

Crossing the Dunes

Once everyone is ready, the tour begins. You will follow your guide in a convoy across the flat desert plains toward the Erg Chebbi dunes. As you approach the dunes, the landscape transforms. The golden sand rises before you.

You will feel the power of your quad as you cross the dunes and experience the thrill of speed in the middle of this unique landscape. The quads are automatic and easy to handle, allowing you to focus on the views and the excitement.

Exploring Hidden Places

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to explore incredible places, including:

Hidden oases tucked between the dunes. These small pockets of palm trees and water are a surprise in the middle of the sand.
Ancient nomadic settlements where Berber families once lived. Your guide will share stories about traditional desert life.

You will be able to see desert life up close and learn about local culture from your guide. Depending on the season, you may meet nomadic families who still move through the area with their herds.

Sunset in the Desert (Afternoon Tour Only)

If you choose the afternoon departure, one of the most magical moments of the tour is watching the sunset over the desert while on your quad. Watch as the sun paints the dunes with golden and red colors, creating an unforgettable natural spectacle.

Your guide will stop at a high dune with the best viewpoint. You will have time to take photographs and simply absorb the beauty of the Sahara at sunset.

Return to Merzouga

After exploring the dunes and hidden sites, you will ride back to Merzouga. The return route may be different from the outward route, giving you even more scenery to enjoy.

You will arrive back in Merzouga village. Your quad bike adventure concludes here.
